EXPERIENCE BEHIND THE BUSINESS
Pauric Whelan — Founder & Managing Director
Pauric brings nearly two decades of specialist engineering, project and commercial experience across wind, offshore energy, foundations, grouting and specialist construction materials.
Before establishing GCE, his career included engineering and senior roles across the UK, Europe and North America, with responsibility for major projects, regional operations, business development and technical support.
Today, he remains closely involved in GCE’s technical decisions, project planning and client relationships.
Ronny Jakobsen — Operations Manager
Ronny runs GCE’s site-based activities and brings strong practical expertise in grouting and structural repair.
Before joining GCE, he spent 10 years working as a supervisor on technically difficult projects around the world. His project experience includes the UK, Denmark, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Poland, Ukraine, Australia and South Africa, alongside 10 years working in onshore renewables.
Ronny is particularly strong at turning technical problems into practical site solutions that can be delivered effectively. He combines hands-on knowledge of equipment, materials and execution with the judgement needed to adapt when conditions change.

GCE combines decades of specialist industry experience with a growing project track record of its own, having completed more than 20 projects across the UK, Ireland, Europe and the USA.
With dedicated specialist equipment, self-contained site capability and experienced decision-makers closely involved, GCE offers the responsiveness of a specialist business with the capacity to deliver significant and technically demanding projects.
The business is built around taking responsibility for its part of the project and helping the wider team succeed. This means looking ahead to identify potential issues, considering the wider programme, contributing to technical and practical decisions, and working collaboratively with clients and contractors.
